Technique Worked: I reviewed the "standards" musical theatre technique we studied in Senior Sem this fall and tried to apply these concepts. This includes conversational tone, jazzy feel, rounded tones... It's conversational but not speech-like a'la contemporary!
Musicality Worked: the lyrics of these songs are just so wonderful, and so important to the execution of this style! I really focused on the meaning in the lyrics and communication of the stories.
