CHICAGO: Day 2 (Dance Class #7, Healthy Meals #19 and #20)

Day two of the run of Chicago is complete!

We all went out for pizza late last night after the show with a lot of the families of the cast, so I am tuckered out today!

We had jazz again with Natalie today, and we're all a bit exhausted from this spring semester... I think everyone had their cranky pants on today if we're being completely honest!

Today we really hit the ground running with practice in quick pickup of choreography, using our under curve to do HANDSTANDS, and spotting in a really difficult turn combination!

Today I had a quick healthy meal before jazz of Kashi cereal (which was low in sugar) with skim milk. I saved the banana and peanut butter for later, after jazz class! SO, that's TWO healthy meals for today! Yay!

Today's daily practice was focused on Chicago, yet again, since it's my life right now!

Minutes: 36

Repertoire: Chicago rep!

Technique Worked: I've been really struggling with rhythms in Funny Honey and with managing the interludes in ALL of the songs. I wanted to look them all over again before we went into the performance tonight so I could be sure to be on top of all my entrances and dance breaks. The music and lines are so integrated into the big production numbers. I needed the brush up!

Musicality Worked: I wanted to find a good reasoning behind the rhythms in Funny Honey so that I could remember them more and motivate them more clearly!

That's all for now!
