This nasty thing has turned into a full blown cold and it makes me so sad! I'm really nervous that I won't be better by the time Sunday rolls around.
A healthy meal: I absolutely ate this in bed today, it was an omelet with spinach and a little bit of feta and some blueberries on the side.
Then, I had a dance class with Natalie!
I swear to God I thought I was going to drown in my own snot. I thought maybe this is what made people in the Middle Ages know they were going to die. IS THIS THE PLAGUE?! Nah, I'm being dramatic.... But seriously. Thank the lord for modern medicine!
We added on to our dance today with Natalie and it requires lots of under curve, variation of movement quality from fluid to powerful, and YOU BETTA CONTRACT THOSE ABS! It's definitely a tough one, especially when you can't breathe! ;)
Look how sassy she is, you have to love her even on your bad days! Also, note the fact that I am wearing yesterday's makeup in this picture.
Daily practice was once again super simple.
Minutes: 30
Repertoire: Fly, Fly Away
Technique: I really haven't even listened to this song that many times, but a casting director told me I should sing it and I am heading the call! Of course I can't sing but I decided to take a good long look at it, study the music and get better acquainted. I also did some lip trill slides for about two minutes as per Kurt's orders before I realized I wasn't quite ready for that yet! So I went back to vocal rest....
Let's keep our fingers crossed people.
Musicality: I started to think about the ways in which I'm going to approach the repetetiveness of this song. I'm going to need to find the conflict and struggle within all of those "fly"s! Also, it's a big moment for Brenda and yet she's doing some little riffs, so I wanted to think about how I'll justify that!
I'll give you an update on the voice tomorrow!
XOXO
